When I first started my business, I was working as an office manager. That job which offered zero creativity but did require me to manage large swaths of people and problem solve on a regular basis (both of which I am very good at). But that doesn't quite scratch the itch for creativity.
I love decorating spaces with layers of texture and surprise elements and often my family would comment on my style choices - "I guess I never would have thought to put those things together". So I thought what better way to harness this love for pretty vignettes than by offering marriage proposal services. I thought about all of the people out there hiring a photographer to capture the surprise of a their proposal and how I could make that experience even better by helping set up a plan and a stage! I immediately reached out to a photographer friend to collaborate on this Alice in Wonderland tea party inspired proposal photoshoot. It remains one of my favorite that I've done. Since then I have moved into weddings and I have discovered that managing events, logistical planning and creating beautiful spaces fill my bucket right to the top! I've never looked back.
